My name is Shayna Cohen and I’m the founder of Fit For You! I created Fit For You to bring small group strength training to women of all different fitness levels.
Fact: Strength training is essential for EVERYBODY and EVERY BODY (including yours) has the ability to strength train!
The thought of lifting weights and strength training can feel intimidating, especially when we lack confidence and experience. Many women don’t know where to start when it comes to the weight room, underestimating their abilities and lacking proper guidance, they opt for the bikes or treadmills.
As women, our bodies are naturally resilient and capable of remarkable adaptation. Regardless of our previous athletic and fitness experience, within each of us is the potential to be exactly who and what we want to be and to feel amazing in our own skin.
Strength training is not only about lifting weights; it's about discovering the power and potential within.
Strength training programs can be adapted to meet each woman exactly where she is at. All exercises can and should be modified or progressed to ensure you are working within your range of motion and at your present fitness level.
Progressions and modifications allow you to build strength at your own pace, helping you to boost your confidence and gradually embrace more challenging movements. With patience and consistency, you’ll soon realize that your body is built for growth and transformation.
